Alternative Medicine, Acupuncture and Homeopathy

There are many effective treatments and remedies that have been used by different cultures for centuries, but which are only slowly being incorporated into modern western medicine.

Homeopathy, with its philosophy of working with the body's natural healing resources and treating the whole person, not just a disease, dates back to the Ancient Greeks and was founded in modern times by a German doctor called Samuel Hahnemann, working in the late 1700s. Many people find homeopathic treatments to be both effective and less stressful, although you should always consult a doctor for a serious condition.
